What does Hop Hop Hop mean as a dance trend? Other names
Updated:
Short answer
The name imitates the bouncing hops of the far-away dancer, repeated to the beat. It is a staged, playful routine, not a real dance style. People search it as Hop Hop Hop AI Dance, Hop Hop Hop Twin Dance, Hop Hop Hop Trend or Point and Hop Dance.

What it means
It is a bit of choreography for two with one gag: the person who looked tiny is suddenly the big face at the lens. Most posts caption it as a twin challenge, and the AI versions replace the pair with characters. This is an internet trend, and MimicZip has no link to the accounts that posted it.
Questions people ask
Is it the same as another hop dance?
No. It has a fixed camera, one pointing person, one hopping person and a cut on the beat; other hop dances do not.
Why twins?
The first big posts were twins, which makes the swap look like a trick. Here you can use one photo twice for the same effect.
Who is in a Hop Hop Hop video?
Whoever is in your two photos: you, adult friends who agreed, or pets.
